Do you wake up early for work every morning? Have you been busting your hump to get a report finished for your boss? Take a moment to stop, and plan a trip for you and your entire family. You work hard every day to provide for your loved ones, but you also work hard to have fun once in a while. Rather than sitting around the house this upcoming weekend, take a short trip to the Adirondack Balloon Festival. The 2011 Adirondack Balloon Festival is the largest hot-air balloon show on the East Coast and an event that should not be missed.
2011 Adirondack Balloon Festival is the largest balloon show of its kinds set against the backdrop of the gorgeous Adirondack Mountains. The four day festival will be filled with various hot-air balloons soring over the mountains and displaying a number of aerial feats. One of the best attractions for the kids is the variety of shapes and designs of the balloons which range from pandas to a giant strawberry. Along with the balloon show, Adirondack Balloon Festival will have a craft fair with over thirty vendors, food, kid’s activities, bounce houses, aircraft static displays and a rock climbing wall.
The festival is scheduled from September 22 to September 25 at Warren County Airport in Queensbury, NY. All four days of the festival are free of charge, and the only cost you have to worry about is gas and parking. On Thursday, September 22, The City of Glens Fall (9 minutes from Warren County Airport) will hold a Downtown Block Party to kick-off the event from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.
If you work hard throughout the week, unwind with a short trip to the Adirondack Balloon Festival. The four day festival would be a great way to spend quality time with your entire family.
